Breakfast at Mountain Harbor is The Bomb! Ohhh man was it good. Today i did 25-27 miles i cant remember exactly how far it was. Today i crossed over Roan mtn, round bald, jane bald, hump mtn, and little hump mtn. All of which are grassy highlands that you have panoramic views and with partly cloudy skies it was a great day to be up there. Roan mtns elevation is over 6200 ft and boy was it cold up there. There is a shelter at the top which is the highest shelter on the AT. The roan Highlands are officially my 3rd favorite spot on the trail. 1st is Katahdin and 2nd was Franconia ridge in the White's of NH. Round and jane balds would be a great day hike if you are ever in the area you can park at carvers or carters gap cant remember what it was exactly and from there its about a mile to the summit of round bald. Very cool. You can drive to the top of roan i think.
Stay as warm as you can. We are thinking of you everyday and saying our protection prayers for your safely and health. I love reading about your adventures at the end of my day of writing H and P's for school. I don't like waking up to cold either, but enjoy it in FL since we only have a few select days of it.
